In light of last night's resounding socialist victory, how many of you MA residents are now going to move out of MA because of the left wing ways?

Every single democratic incumbant won almost two to one last night. This state has now almost a 90% democratic government. There comes a time when you have to look at the facts with what our future holds.

1. Higher Taxes
2. More socialized free money programs to those who refuse to work
3. A lot more illegals
4. Higher crime rate
5. Crowded emergency rooms
6. A state government that thinks only LEO's should have guns
7. Judges who are soft on "REPEAT" violent criminals

The writing is on the wall. I know for some of you moving just isn't a real option, but I've only been here since 1999 and I have no family here other than my two boys.

The lease on my Condo is up in June, that will be my last month as a Commiechusetts subject. I am moving to a state where the constitution is respected, criminals are punished, and taxes are low...

ETA: I'll continue to add more as they flow in.

Already had this discussion with the Mrs. We're stuck until my son is in college / out of the house or taxes force us out.

The latter is much more likely.

I've got a great job at a university (with a pension!) and my wife would never leave.

I'm stuck in MA until retirement -- another 20 years.

I have a job offer pending, something I cannot afford to turn my back on. Plus an elderly mother and MIL we watch out for. I guess I'm stuck here for better or worse.

Ya know, I'm not going anywhere just yet.
Both sides of my family have been here in town for a zillion years.
Where can I go to get away from it? NH is going to get tired of everyone fleeing the Workers' Paradise to the south and things will go sh*tty there too. The Conservatives lost a lot of ground all over the country, not just here in the Land of Mao. I'm not gonna let a bunch boot-lickers push me away from my home and family quite yet. I'd expend a lot less energy going up to the State House and beating on doors than I would to make a move 300 miles away, leaving a comfortable job and the lifelong associations that can't be replaced.
I think I'll stay around and see what happens, write a slew of letters to those on Beacon Hill who might listen, (There are a few who will) send GOAL a check now and then.
Alas..........Just my two cents worth.

I can't go anywhere anytime soon. Money is tight right now and the wife and I are paying off some bills, plus shes taking college courses and my Daughter is truning 11 this month. Its like my Father said last night though... we survived the Dukakis years, the Clinton years, chances are we'll survive these next 4.
I do want to move north to NH for the simple reason of there being less crime and other Massachusetts crap, the gun laws being lighter are just a bonus. Maybe in a few years I'll be able to get something going.[thinking]

The move has been in the works for little while, but recent events here have reassured me that my decision is for the best.

I'll miss y'all, but I'll come back to visit. [wave]

How much longer is that?

He's 8 [crying] Funny thing, MrsTwigg says she dosen't want to leave her family relations here. BUT she has some other relatives right across the border in Rindge. I'm hoping once she remembers this, getting her to pick up & go won't be so difficult. [thinking]

One more year

I have 1 more year before my son finishes high school. Then we're out of here. Born in Boston and lived here most of my life, but I can't take much more of MA.

If they come for my guns I am leaving - with them.
If they kill my kid's Charter school we are gone as well.
If they instate retroactive taxation ( no joke ) we're gone.

Unfortunately NH and Colo. - my 2 bug out locations are being infested with Liberals. They foul their nest and then move out. Florida is looking better every day - and they are used to northeners infiltrating.

As I stated in another thread - as long as mom's alive, I'm stuck here.

I know I've already said that I hate this state, but now I REALLY hate this state.

Glenn's mom and 95 year old grandmother keep us here. Plus Glenn still has some time yet before he retires. We'll see what happens.

I'm with Lynne. Hopefully they'll both be alive for a nice long time, but as soon as Mom 'departs this mortal coil' I'll be headed up to our home in Maine.

Told the wife the other day:
"Hey it's not our choice...Mass just told us we're not welcome here...."[thinking]

Our jobs are good....but our expenses are very high, and we can't afford to buy a house. All of that BEFORE you talk about the goofy socialism. We can't stay even if we wanted to....

-Weer'd Beard

I'm already retired. I could move if I wanted to. Why? I'm going to stay and continue being a pain in the ass to the "beautiful people".[smile]

Can't leave until the Grandfather is gone. He's 91 in Jan. and still drives and operates a rubber tired loader. (former contractor). Could be another 10 year or so the way he's goin. My wife would pack tonight if I said lets go.She hates the liberal bull here.

I heard S.Carolina has land going for short money.
