My preferred position doesn't have my hand near the sling swivel. The plastic handguard will slide a little when my palms start to sweat. Cool weather is easy as I have plenty of gloves with good grip.

But what can anyone recommend for warm weather? I'd prefer a tacky rubber palm to really grip the gun, but no fingers and a mesh or very thin back to allow air to circulate.

Tried one of my old cycling gloves, but the leather palm isn't really grippy enough.

I don't want to 'treat' it with anything that might damage the finish on the gun or leave a residue on the handguard.

And I don't need the classic high power competition glove.

Ideas?

Yea, I have a pair of those. Very greasy. (^_^) I use the Nitrile gloves now.

Hmmm, the "Grip" version might have some merit.

Might just cut off the finger tips.

I've used the Mechanix gloves before but recently tried a new pair of Snap-On ones that I found laying around in the garage. Even better grip with the Snap-On ones although I'm not sure why. The palm material appears to be the same stuff, but who knows in this day and age. Anyway, both gloves work well for me with the AR when I'm shooting off hand without the sling.
