Garand Memorial - Vintage Bolt-Action Rifle Match

There will be enough relays to allow competitors to fire in both divisions. Covered firing points - we shoot, rain or shine. Application for CMP sanctioning is pending.
COURSE OF FIRE:
All shots @ 200 yds on the SR target. 30 rds for record + 5 sighters.
Stage 1: 5 sighters + 10 rds for record - Slow-fire prone in 15 minutes.
Stage 2: 10 rds Rapid-fire, standing to prone.
70 seconds for Garands, 80 seconds for Vintage rifles.
(Stripper clips will be necessary for Vintage rifles).
Stage 3: 10 rds Slow-fire, offhand in 10 minutes.
A 3 minute preparation period will precede each stage. THERE WILL BE NO HANDLING OF FIREARMS ALLOWED UNTIL THE PREP. PERIOD BEGINS! There will be no alibis for firearm or ammo malfunctions, or for saved rounds. The use of Empty Chamber Indicators (available for loan or sale) is required. All other NRA/CMP safety rules apply.
All rifles must be strictly 'as-issued' to the average soldier. Vintage rifles may be from any nation. Coaching is permitted, and encouraged. Customary shooting mats, jackets, spotting scopes, etc. are permitted. Vintage uniforms/equipment also encouraged. This is a 'FUN' Match. Please help us keep it that way!
A limited amount of .30-06 Ball M-2 ammo will be available for sale. Any other safe ammo will be permitted, factory or reloads.
