I've had an HRA bolt to replace the SA bolt on my HRA Garand for a while. Does anyone have a Field Guage that I could borrow so I can check when I sawp them out?
Thanks.
JonJ, I thought you also needed a No-Go gauge when swapping bolts. Just in case the new bolt is longer and tighter. Not enough headspace is as bad as too much IIRC.
A No-Go would be useful if I were re-barreling and is not needed for a bolt swap. If I wanted to be picky, I'd use a Go with the Field but for the simple swap the Field would just show maximum safe headspace.
