I like the comment about the neighbors birthday party. Are you kidding me? If I was ten and heard gunshots I'd be pushing my parents to let me go shoot at the range for my bday
Every time I hear gunshots in my new NH home, I say to my wife, "do you know what that is?" She looks at me like I'm a fool and says "gunshots" and I say no, that's the sound of Liberty. F the transplanted moonbats.
I live in the next town over and have confirmed one on one with my COP that backyard shooting is allowed and no problem.

Well some neighbors are close, maybe if surpressors were not NFA items people could shoot without disturbing others
