Documentary about the Roof Koreans

Certainly appears to be pro-2a by virtue of the fact that the only people/business owners to endure the riots were the people who had guns. We shall see.

A&E ran a documentary on the Riots last night. I taped it and I'm watching it right now. The Roof Koreans got a brief cameo, along with Edward James Olmos.

It has seemed kind of skewed in favor of the rioters so far.

It is heavily biased. I turned it off 30 mins through. The intro was vomit inducing; highlighting all the recent high profile shootings and portraying scum like Michael Brown and Trayvon as innocent angels. The other show they aired called Streets of Compton was going as far as justifying the actions of those piece of shit rioters.

There is a growing movement led by SJWs and BLM to promote the idea of "Asian Privilege," and that there is anti-black racism within the Asian community that must be addressed via self-flagellation at the altar of the Rev. Al Sharpton. Oh, and affirmative action that shuts out higher-performing Asian applicants in favor of lower performing black applicants for school and career opportunities, because there's "too many Asians in higher ed" (but don't you dare say there's "too many blacks" in the NBA). Some are even going as far as to demand reparations from the Asian community, especially from small business owners because "you didn't build that."

Who do these folks cite as the vanguard of Asians oppressing blacks? Well for one, the Koreans who used firearms to defend their stores during the 1992 LA riots, and more recently the video that surfaced on worldstar of an Asian business owner physically restraining a black woman who he caught shoplifting--and he only used forced after she struck and kicked him multiple times. Another incident they love bringing up is Peter Liang, that NYPD cop who had a negligent discharge in the housing complex stairwell--the round ricocheted and killed Akai Gurley--but BLM and the SJWs hold that up as an anti-black hate crime murder by evil Asian police officer. I remember the peace-loving, tolerant, non-racist left slurring that cop with chants of "chink", "gook", and calling for his murder. Oh, and of course the elderly Asian grandmother who clutches her purse if she sees a black dude on the street. But don't you dare bring up the multitudes of black on Asian murders (like that elderly man in Oakland who was beaten by two black youths, robbed of 3 dollars, then put into a weighted shopping cart and drowned in a lake), the Asian high school kids in Philly getting jumped and beaten by black students, and the black school admin looked the other way. Steve Harvey, Chris Rock, and many other black celebrities who say racist shit about Asians on national tv and get away with it (the reverse would result in immediate loss of job and social shaming). Rappers like YG inciting violence against Asians and encouraging his listeners to rob Asian homes because he thinks we have lots of cash and are too meek to defend ourselves.

Frankly, I'm pretty sick of these SJWs and BLM'ers telling me that by virtue of being an Asian man, I need to "check my privilege." I need to just humbly shut up and slink to the back of the line when applying to schools or jobs, be passed up for promotions, and smile at being the butt of every racist joke or remark made by these people.

And you know what? I've spoken with friends about this who are black and they're just as sick of it too--sick of the SJWs and liberal left trying to divide everybody and cause strife between different groups.

The liberals/progressives have mastered the art of reverse discrimination to the point that they have convinced many a moonbat that they are in the right. It does not matter that the majority of the people in this country have never been a part of any discriminatory behavior. These are the same "you didn't build this" crowd (disguised socialists) like Liz Warren, et al who have no idea what the real world is all about. Bizarro World is unfortunately here....

The first time I heard about this I couldn't believe it. I still can't believe it. It's not like Asians in the US have exactly had an easy time of it. From the first waves of immigrants to the west cost being basically slaved out to build railroads and work mines, to FDR interning the Japanese-American citizens during WWII, to the human trafficking that goes on today.

As we continue to play Victims and Oppressors here in the USA I guess we now know which side Asians fall on. Welcome, fellow Oppressors.

Meanwhile, the way Asians are discriminated against for college admissions is indefensible and disgusting.

The root cause of much social discord now is radical egalitarianism, the Marxist idea that everyone is the same and so disparate outcomes can only be the result of institutional racism. It couldn't be that some people are smarter than others or work harder than others, no, no, no, it's racism.

Coming up on the 25th anniversary of the LA riots. I think we'll be seeing all documentaries over next few weeks. I was watching the one last night that focused on Korea town. Unreal the absolute lawlessness. Firearms and community kept them alive.

I gave the Koreans lots of respect for how they handled the riots!

All I could think about is these people come here and work hard to provide a better life for their kids. Then some Americans of a different race want to destroy all they have worked hard for just because they are not of the same race as them!

I gave them credit for not shooting every dam one of them!

Yep, Asians just shut the F up, roll with the punches, and still come out on top. They're obviously white, and racist....and nazis.

Do you know if they supply South Koreans or North Koreans?

For my money, I'll take north koreans....

Growing? it's already there and its already gigantic, they just don't come out and use those words to describe it.

Look at affirmative action with college admissions as the most graphic example. Asians are effectively treated far worse than even white people on the affirmative action scale because of average intelligence scores and test performance outstripping typical white people. That discrimination has been going on for years- this presumption that every asian applicant automatically has "Asian privilege" in terms of intelligence.

Same thing happens with anyone claiming racism against Asians- the SJW crowd pretty much acts like they do when a typical white person says they've been discriminated against- the implication being "Asians and White people don't have standing cuz they are "privileged", so it doesnt matter, go away".

How much do roof koreans charge per day? Can they handle an 18 pitch roof, or do they only work off of flat roofs?

According to some metrics we also make more money than white men.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bl...n-men-win-the-hourly-earnings-race-in-america

Maybe its cause we work hard, avoid drama, priortize taking care of our own, and study math and science? Nahhh, must be dat privilege...
What's really amazing is so many of my people start out here without a lick of english, fresh off the boat. Doing nails and chinese take out for the rich white folk. Noone gives us a handout. Even if they did, most of us are too proud to take it.
