Dicks no longer selling 'assault rifles'

Dicks sucks....ixhax to fight for a refund on a order they couldn't fill on a shotgun... wanted to give me store credit.

And of course Fox News failed to mentioned they actually entered into a purchase agreement. Product was offered, Payment was completed, Contract Entered.

****ing fox.

Exactly - the question was not even asked. The real question is one of "was payment accepted"? If the order was held for a period of time, and the check cashed/charge processed, it would be hard to argue there was not acceptance and consideration.

I wonder what these same talking heads would have been saying if it was a car dealer who decided not to honor a contracted price after taking a deposit and contract for sale.

Another example was the Worcester oil company a few years ago that attempted to back out of fixed-price supply agreements with customers because the agreed vs. market price spread was too great - and Marsha came down on them like a titanium striker with a heavy spring.

It would be awesome if someone sued, won, and forced Dicks to get back into a contract with Troy (with better terms for troy), and sell all the product that was purchased.

If this was TVs instead of rifles, Dicks wouldn't have any choice. Why does the product make a difference?
