Congressman Shot

By the way, when was anyone ever bayonetted in the US after the Civil War?

I think we made it for 129 years after the end of the Civil War to the 94 Brady Bill without having a single felonious beyonetting.
I bayonetted myself with the first Mosin I bought. Does that count? Of course it was an AB (accidental bayonetting)

I just heard a doctor on FOXNews talking about the shooting. She said that the bullets used were not regular bullets. They are assault rifle bullets and are far more deadly than regular bullets. She went on to say that they break up into many little pieces and caused all kinds of small ancillary wounds. Unlike regular bullets which I guess are far less deadly.

I saw her also. Had to change the channel in disgust. Good thing we don't have to worry about getting hit by a .308 from a bolt action while hunting since they are not extra special killy "assault rifle" bullets.

I don't doubt for even a second that what they are saying about it in private is far, far different than what they are portraying in public.
They were pushing hard and trying to stir up the nutbags since day one.
Now the fake tears and insincere condemnation comes.

Feds might be interested in seeing that. It would be worth bringing to their attention even if it just resulted in her having to field an unexpected phone call from the FBI asking her to explain what was the meaning of a statement like that.

No such thing as an AB -
it was obviously an NB.

If you ever tear off all four corners,
you're restricted to butter knives

So now congress wants to carry guns? How about national reciprocity bill, congress critters?

We need to watch this and let our representatives know that their lives are no more important than our lives, so write and call if it looks like they will pass something. If they want it, they'll pass it in a heart beat!

Rep. Mo Brooks on Sunday said he will introduce legislation in the coming week to allow congressmen and senators to carry guns, in the wake of the shooting of fellow Congressman Steve Scalise.

“Right now when we're in Washington, D.C., once we're off the complex … we're still high-profile targets, but we have absolutely no way to defend ourselves because of Washington, D.C.’s rather restrictive gun laws,” Brooks, R-Ala., told Maria Bartiromo on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

Well... not to dump cold water on your well-meaning post, but I'll go out on a limb and assert that NO member of my congressional delegation will ever vote for national reciprocity no matter how many calls or letters they get.

It can pass without any of the congress clowns from MA voting for it. We can also make calls, send emails to other members of congress, etc. Get the NRA involved, too!

It's a start though:

Rep. Thomas Massie introducing bill to recognize outside concealed carry permits in D.C.

“But I don’t want to extend a special privilege just to congressmen. I recognize that everybody has the right to defend themselves, and that’s in the Constitution,” he said.

Mr. Massie said his legislation would allow anyone with a concealed carry permit in their home state to use the permit in D.C., which generally requires applicants to demonstrate a specific reason to obtain one.

He also said his bill makes it easier for people to get a non-resident D.C. permit if they don’t have one in their home state.

Are you sure? Did you even ask? This "consumer's advocate" seams to be in for any fun:

Good Lord, what a freak show.

It's terrible. The DSM is going to get thinner and thinner as they stop classifying things as mental illnesses. Scumbags like Warren will someday argue for shit like pedophilia to be classified as a sexual preference.

Some of us never thought it would get as bad as things are today. We need to be vigilant because the Left is pushing the envelope more and more.

Don't joke about that shit. There's already people out there pushing for pedophilia to be "normalized." [puke]

We need to bring back public hangings for those kind of people.

It feels sometimes, in MA, that we have lost that fight few generations ago. I always feel a pain when some misguided Republican starts talking about bi-partisanship with MA delegation. I can't imagine that something like that would be even possible. Like convincing my dog to take up cooking classes.

I'm offended and triggered by these pictures of Fauxahontas with all those gender-confused, eye-stabbing snowflakes. Please stop posting them. I'm going to need some serious therapy at my safe space.

The freak-show outfits and grooming does make it harder to take these "alternative" groups seriously. Can you imagine a {whatever}Pride Parade filled with people dressed as bankers, real estate agents and car mechanics, ... you know, "hard working regular people" stuff?

Ya, its not her life decisions that bother me. Its her decisions shes made in office that are scarey.

This...

I support your right to pretend to think you can change your gender and dance around like an idiot. I'll even defend your right to whine and piss and moan that YOUR CHOICE makes you "discriminated" against. However once you utilize political force to try and go in women's bathrooms, redefine laws regarding m/f et al, then its time to STFU

Ignoring that he, nor did anyone, vote to "let mentally ill people have access to guns", and ignoring that while true, he's getting care paid for by government funded health insurance, it's not Obamacare, because Congress exempted themselves from it, I do indeed appreciate the proper characterization of liberals and socialists as being mentally ill! Nailed that part! [laugh]

That's been a big theme on Twitter. How a black lesbian saved his life, and he is against her right to marry.
(He was one of Trumpers early supporters. So he's gotta be racist.)

Even his wife posted a letter to his detail. Saying they view them as family. Nope not good enough for the left.

They can't comprehend that you can love someone, yet have beliefs that may be "against" that person.

I swear most of them just need a hard bitch slap to come out of their cognitive dissonance and back to the real world.
If not they'll be in the hospital receiving the free care they dream of. Kinda a win, win. No? [laugh]

I am starting to get concerned about the mentally ill thing that flies around with this stuff. Surely there are mentally ill people that do this kind of thing, but some people are just *******s, and I think calling someone mentally ill who has no mental illness and decides to be an ******* removes the responsibility of being an *******, because "it's not his fault, he was mentally ill". Very millennial of us.

Evil exists in men's hearts, that is a fact of human nature. No amount of mental illness treatment will ever cure that.

Yeah, it's feeling like the more they throw "mentally ill" around the closer we get to them saying, "Hey, everyone is mentally ill in some way, shape or form". Now they say alcoholism is a mental illness, so is drug addiction, food addiction, porn addiction, etc, etc. The next step is to say nobody can have guns because everyone is mentally ill in some way.

I don't think the guy who likes to look at boobs on his computer or likes to eat a little more than he should is mentally ill and should not be restricted from anything, not by the govt anyway. His wife may have something to say about the porn and his doctor about the food but that's not our business.

Shooting someone out of pure hate does not make you mentally ill. Irrational blind hate and rage is not a mental illness. Stupid is not a mental illness.

If they were, most of congress and the vast majority of this country would need to be locked up.

I'd make the obvious connection to progressives but I think that's implied in my post.
