So im posting another cell phone video of a few things about the CMP new wood stocks. Friday a friend wanted me to go through his SG SA with new wood stock. We did a quick fit last year as his op rod was rubbing very hard.

its all fun

First thing I asked him is why he put his rear sling loop on backwards!

Video came out great. Good info regarding the USGI stock fit details vs. what CMP does (or doesn't) do.

Yeah, lock-up for my Italian stock might take two of my body weights to close- and that's saying a lot! I'll work with it a little more before I start to remove small amounts of material. I have the 3/16" dowel to use as a guide to get the angles for the 'lands' where the bottom locks against the stock.

Edit-

No need for stock removal (pun intended). One solid whack with a rubber mallet drove it home.
