Baker is dead to us.
Lost my vote no matter how he bounces back from this, he should have come out immediately in defiance.

It's very important that when you all call this ******* you make it clear it's cost him your vote in the next election.
And a democrat wins.
Either way we lose.
It's time to leave this state to the libturds.
Let them live in their socialist utopia and I'll go pay taxes in a state that recognizes the constitution,
so? last time I check our current governor is every bit a democrat.
All these *******s care about is votes. Want change? Threaten their vote counts.
Here is my pathetic email response from Baker.
Dear Mike,
On behalf of Governor Charlie Baker, thank you for your recent correspondence regarding the ban assault weapons ban. We understand your concern about this issue, and we are grateful to have your voice as part of the discussion.
Please feel free to contact our office in the future with any further questions or concerns; your comments are always welcome in this administration.

Let's face it - I had to vote for Baker last time.
Governor Coakley ? NFW
And I really did not understand how worthless Baker would be.

Sad part is if every gun owner didn't vote for him next election, he probably gained the same ammount maybe more from the left with his stance on this issue. We are the minority in this shit hole.
I'm not ready to write him off quite yet. From what he said and what his aide is saying, it is clear that they did not read the documents that the AG released. They think this is merely a "going forward" issue, which it is not.
Sadly MFS made it easy for her to correctly conclude that the AWB was meaningless and that operationally a pre-ban or post-ban gun operates the same way and can be mis-used in exactly the same ways. A big shout out of thanks to MFS for inviting the media into their shop and explaining this very clearly to them!

Baker refuses to back a federal assault weapons ban, claiming he needs to see some evidence:
PARAPHRASE (NECN, 1/31/2013): In response to a question about whether or not he was in favor of the federal assault weapons ban, Charlie Baker said "We've had it since 1998, and gun crime has gone up since then by a lot. If I thought it would solve the problem, I'd be all for it. I want to see the evidence." When pressed with, "So you are not in favor of a federal assault weapons ban?" Baker said, "I would like to see the evidence."
COMPARE 2010 (WRKO-AM, 10/3/2010): I'm a Second Amendment fan. Massachusetts has some of the strictest gun laws in the country and I do not think the answer to a lot of our problems are more gun laws. The real issue should be enforcing the laws we have and making sure that people are who are using guns illegally, who are using unregistered guns, who are using guns in the commission of a crime, those are the people we ought to be focusing our time and attention on."
I've had the gadsen flying in place of the American flag since last night. And plan to at least until the election.
Mike
I had thought of turning mine upside down...Being a Veteran I found that to disrespectful and just took it down. I have flown my flag light each and every night since 9/11. I periodically Fly several others below it. Navy Jack, Gadsen, Army of the Irish republic even my NRA life member flag. All noticed by my neighbors, great thing is they know I raise them to make a statement and they actually take the time to stop and ask why. Almost as quickly took my American Flag down several neighbors were at the door....I rolled out the beers and we talked until just after midnight....Anyway many are not into guns but they sure as hell understood what had happened and how it could effect there constitutional rights in the future. Sorry to highjack the thread.
