I'm reasonably sure this hasn't been dealt with before. I'm trying to replinish my Cowboy Action Shooting collection and would like to be able to get something besides a Ruger Vaquero. (Did I mention I hate this state)

There is an add at SASS for:

Here's my question: If I ordered a cap & ball (not necessarily that one)
guns and the Krist converters seperately as a different order would I be OK?

Thanks[thinking]

Even though it is a reproduction, because it is cap & ball with percussion ignition, it falls under antique & is exempt from federal laws & is also exempt from certain state regulations regarding posession/ownership.

Once you convert it to cartridge, all fed & state laws now apply because it falls under replica.

You can convert an original piece & have it still fall under antique, but not a reproduction or replica.
