I park in the Common garage.
Tonight when I went to my car there was a local TV crew there taping. As you can tell by my handle, I knew the only reason could be that something bad had happened. I asked them and sure enough, two women had been attacked in the last two weeks in the garage.
They asked me to do an interview, which I did.
I said that even if you put a security guard every ten feet there is basically no substitute for individual situational awareness...avoiding any kind of potential trouble.
I have my doubts if that will make air because I think what they wanted me to say was that there really SHOULD be a security guard every ten feet.
If I had my wits about me (usually an impossibility), I probably should have said that IF this stupid, moronic city and state would allow women to protect themselves, there wouldn't be any need for security guards (unarmed of course).
That's today's story and I'm sticking to it.
