I got many of mine at ar15.com also, be careful, some guys will sell you junkers if you're a newbie at a real low price. Gun shows are another good place.

How do you know if they are Pre-Ban?

People are out of there minds, I saw a pre-ban 20 inch AR for sale there for $1900. THe sad, pathetic part is some sucker will buy it.

How do you know if they are Pre-Ban?

The mags will have date codes on them, or the the lack there of. If the date on the mag is before 94 or if there is no date on the mag, there is an excellent chance it is pre-ban. All of the colt 20 rnd mags I have, have no dates or LEO markings on them. The sanchez mags I have, the wrapper is dated but not the mag body. Pretty much after the ban all the mag body were date stamped.
