What are the differences between a MINI Appleseed and a regular one? If a mini is a one day event I would be interested in a winter session.
A MINI is any Appleseed run by Ross!
I'm here all week folks, try the veal.

Less history, more shooting. It's not a full day, more like an afternoon. It's also free since we just meet up at a range and we get to share the line. What are the differences between a MINI Appleseed and a regular one? If a mini is a one day event I would be interested in a winter session.
www.appleseedinfo.org has 50' downloadable targets.Ive been shooting Appleseed-style at Harvard indoors. Its usually empty in the evenings. Its only 50' but a little math can calculate group sizes needed for 4moa. Would be nice to have some company. Let me know if anyone is interested some night next week.
AND the bunny slippers - we want pictures. You qualify for a patch if you're shooting in your backyard with bunny slippers on as long as you can show us the target.
I think it's the best instruction for the money you'll get. Bring LOTS of ammo, and check your ego at the gate (it only gets in the way).I'd be interested in something like this......What are the thoughts about newbies trying this out? I don't know my way around a rifle all that well. I just picked up a AR-15 last week. I wasn't even sure I'd ever fire it, but figured I get it while the gettin is good.
Since you've already sampled the bullshit, that is. Gary, you're about 40 some odd years too late to be the first to make a short joke about me. Do try and catch up, will you?A MINI is any Appleseed run by Ross!

Go ahead... get it out of your system. I'm big enough to take it.Low blow. (hah)
Just.I'm big enough to take it.
Going through 500-700 rounds doesn't bother me. Well the cost could be better, but if you want to play......
My concern is that I have one of the new evil AR that can not be brought into MA. So I'm limited to areas I can shoot.
Are the Mini Appleseeds scheduled? Or are they last minute get togethers? Getting one day freed up on a weekend is much easier than a whole weekend.
Then find us a range in NH.
What are the requirements for a range?
It's hard to believe we don't have any members in NH that can give suggestions.
Ok... I've got my 1022 in working order so I'd like to get in on one of these events. What do you guys suggest for things to bring?
Scope or iron sights?
A sling apparently is needed. Any old sling or does it matter?
Any recommended mods to the 1022?
I think I read somewhere that extra mags are good. How many?
Let me know when the next date is set. I'll be there if it fits my schedule.
Minimun of 82 feet to targets, we'd like at least another ten feet behind the firing line for gear and room so I don't step on anyone Again.

Crak may schedule a mini before then if there is enough interest.
I am in the process of getting clearance for a full, two day Appleseed at Woodsman R&P in Athol for the sometime in February.

I just asked Barb if she wanted to do another Appleseed. She replied "YES! Where and when?" I told her and the next thing she said was "No way!"I am in the process of getting clearance for a full, two day Appleseed at Woodsman R&P in Athol for the sometime in February.
We'll have to see how many other ladies brave the cold and snow...I just asked Barb if she wanted to do another Appleseed. She replied "YES! Where and when?" I told her and the next thing she said was "No way!"
BTW, Dennis... we CAN have a bonfire somewhere behind the line so we don't all freeze solid, right? Remember, I'm a southerner! (well, Northern NJ is farther south of MA! )
I dunno about my wife, but I'm down for this (unless i have to work that weekend, which is an ever increasing frequency).I am in the process of getting clearance for a full, two day Appleseed at Woodsman R&P in Athol for the sometime in February.
Any idea on which weekend MrTwigg?
Will post when I know. I do know its not gonna be Valentines day weekend
Are there any decent places to camp out in that area, or cheap hotels? Its not a terrible drive for me to do both days (2 hours with my lead foot!), but it would be nice to be able to stay down there overnight.
