I am told that you can purchase and own an AK-47 in CT as long as it doesn't have a folding or collapsable stock, flash hider, threaded barrel or bayonet lug. is this true?

it cannot be chambered in 7.62 x 39. The .223, .308, and 5.45 x 39 are legal but for some reason they cant have the real chamber. Because they are on the ban list preban guns cannot be transferred.

I don't understand what you mean by it can't be chambered. I'm looking to buy a Century Arms GP WASR-10 model # RI1166-N. Do you know if this particular firearm is legal?

No you cannot have the wasr-10.

You cannot have any AK-47 type gun if it has a caliber of (chambered in) 7.62 x 39 .

you can have it in 5.45 5.56 etc etc

No it doesn't make sense but its the law
