AIM Surplus BCG Staked Properly?

If the key is staked correctly the loctite is not necessary. If the staking is bad, I wouldn't trust even red loctite to hold it. It's very easy to correct a bad stake job, so I would just do that. Loctite is great stuff, but I don't think this is a good use for it.

I'm not sure which I find more humorous, the loctite or the JB weld recommendations that I read on the forums. Having sold both for 30+ years I have a pretty good idea where they should be used and where they should not be used.

I have seen both products recommended for jobs that they were never designed for and not only will they perform poorly in some of these situations, I have read some that were down right dangerous.
