DUBAI, Sept 28 (Reuters) - More than 4,000 foreign fighters have been killed in Iraq while fighting U.S.-led forces and the American-backed government, al Qaeda's leader in Iraq said in an audio tape issued on the Internet on Thursday.

"More than 4,000 muhajir (foreign fighters) and many more of the supporters of righteousness (Iraqi fighters) have given their blood to Iraq," said the speaker, identified as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir. The tape's authenticity could not be verified but it was posted on major Web sites used by militants.

i certainly hope those are downplayed propoganda numbers by the enemy.
4000 dead is a pretty sad number mathematically speaking.
With the war in Iraq alone running at 8 billion dollars a month, thats a atronomical and atrociously high kill to cost ratio.
even if it thats 4000 a month, that would mean we are running roughly 2 million dollars in overhead per single worthless insurgent killed.
