I've been told the Swift is a "must" for anglers in MA. Those pics would support that claim. It's on my list for spring when I get my fly rod out.

There's some great swimming spots on the river,if you can take the ice cold bottom of the Quabbin water.The lower part of the Swift River,below the reservoir spillway cut.

The river is open to fish year round so if you can brave the cold water/weather, don't wait until spring! Myself and a good friend of mine are fishing there often and would be happy to show you some of the river if and when you come out.
