Never received a renewal form for my 01 FFL.
It expires Nov 1st, 2012.
I have it for gunsmithing activities.
BATF website sayes to resubmit a form 7 with fingerprints and $200 fee (not usual $90 fee).
Is this correct?

Thanks,
~Matt

I just talk to them a weeek ago and they told me that they would send some thing out when it was time I would give them a call so its not too late

I think it's called LOA (letter of authorization)
I was more interested in the fee. [wink]

Got my answer and wanted to share it for future searches.

Called BATFE and explained my situation to a lady in the licensing center.
She emailed me the form 8 renewal (3 part.)
Filled it out and express mailed it with a money order to the ATF.
Because it was "in-the-mail" prior to the expiration date the fee was only $90 and no fingerprint cards or photos were required.
ATF will mail me a "Letter of Authorization" that is good for 6 months. By then new lic. will have arrived.

If it had been post marked after the expiration date of the license, a form 7 (new application) with $200 fee, prints and photos would have been required.

A little more info...
I moved my location 1 door down (to a new address in the same building) and sent in a change of address form. ATF mails renewal forms 90 days prior to expiration, so I think that it went to the old address. .
ATF does not allow mail forwarding so, postman did not deliver.

Hopes this helps.

Same here. I've had an 01 FFL since before Monica met Bill...
