I know the standard zeroing distance for a M4 with a 14.5 barrel is 25 meters shooting at target paper with a 300 meter silhouette on it. I built a AR with a 7.5 barrel on it i know the muzzle velocity is not the same so what would be the proper distance to zero this shorter barrel at.

The specs of my upper:
Bushmaster upper
Dpms 7.5 barrel 1/9 twist 4150 chrome lined
Adam arms piston low mass NIB xlp kit
Pof roller cam
Pof NIB firing pin
Jp ent NIB bolt
Samson evolution 7 free float rail
Ferfran crd
Daniel defense front sight
Troy ind rear sight
Eo tech exps2-0

You'll have about 2300 fps out of a 7.5" any ballistic calculator will give you your drop.
If I remember correctly, a 25mms zero will give you a 6" drop at 300m.

Pics!

I don't really think you'd be using that thing past 100 yards too often so I'd say to zero it at 25 or 50.

A ballistic calculator will help....although I'm sure if you zero @ 25 yards you should be able to get hits on target out to 100 yards. If you zero for 25 yards you will shoot higher out to 100 yrs approx 1.5" or so....at 200 it will start to drop off about 2" or so.
If you don't think it will shoot a bit high think about the way you set up battle zero on A2 sights. You zero @25m with the rear sight up 2 clicks or z setting. Zero impact with front sight then return rear sight down to 3/600 0r 800
