I good friend of my father was into old airplaines, and built/re-built several WWI vintage planes. He found at least two of these planes in old barns and picked them up for next to nothing. May sound like another "good friend of my cousin's brother-in-law's accountant's ex-wife's best friend" story, except that I flew one of them year ago, a restored Nieuport 28.
