It appears that we have another “Taser went bang!” story in the news, as reported here, this time in St. Louis MO. In this instance, female Police Officer Julia Crews (in featured image) shot a fleeing shoplifting subject in the back with her service pistol, which she accidentally presented instead of the Taser she’d intended to deploy.
The 33-year-old suspected shoplifter is expected to survive the gunshot injury. Officer Crews has been indicted on charges of second-degree assault.
