If there were a smartphone app aware of all of the firearms laws of the states including some practical details such as carry, reciprocity, transport, storage, limits, etc.
Since it could be position aware, it could display warnings about differences in law from the previous state, validity of the permits you hold (res, non-res, etc) and so-forth.
It should also have a "what-if" mode for proposing a new locality one might visit.
I wonder if apple would allow such a thing in their app store?
Anyway it would be cool.
