There are few stories the mainstream media enjoys more than “trend” stories.

Whether it’s plant-based meat, live-streamed workouts, celebrity podcasts or Tic-Toc and other new apps, the media revels in reporting the latest trends that are sweeping the country — at least most of the time.

However, if the trend involves guns or the Constitution — especially the Second Amendment — don’t look for stories anytime soon, even if it’s a viral national trend.

The mainstream media has missed one of the biggest trend stories ever – the massive surge in Second Amendment Sanctuaries at the state, county and local level.

As it stands now, more than 46% of all counties in the United States have declared themselves Second Amendment Sanctuaries, according to Noah Davis of sanctuarycounties.com and its companion site constitutionalsanctuaries.com.

The entire map should be green. Every square inch.

I thought RI had some counties? Anyone know if true or not?

That was the first thing I noticed

@C. Stockwell, is this map missing a couple?

Rhode Island has five counties. The RI 2A-Sanctuary movement is coordinated at the town level because counties in RI are merely historic organizational divisions. There is no such thing as county government in RI.

About half of the RI towns have passed 2A Sanctuary ordinances.

As nice as this is, isn't it mostly a virtue signal? These things don't prevent much of anything and the feds will enforce the shit out of anyone who violates federal gun law in those jurisdictions.
