What license is required for MA buyer to buy my pistol in MA

Hi,
I'm selling my pistol on the classified in this forum. I'm a Mass resident and bought the pistol in Mass. This will be a private transaction and I only want to sell to another Mass resident. What license does the buyer need to have so that everything is legal in Mass?

Depends on the gun.

Class B for non hi-cap pistols
Class A for hi-cap pistols

To clarify BJ's post . . . he'll need a LTC (NOT an FID card).

Also best check the List of what the State considers "hi cap" in handguns if the person has only a LTC-B. Guns like the S&W 41, 422 and 622 are (by most people) not considered "hi-cap", BUT the STATE determined differently (something that I expounded upon in a prior post here).
