I took the day off and told my wife I was going for a drive. I went to Remsport to have a look around. I was interested in both AR-15's and 1911's so I figured that was the place to go. John was very helpful and the shop was unreal. Tons of nice newly machined parts all over the place.
I ended up ordering a Stainless 1911. He is going to fit the slide and barrel and then ship it to me with all the parts. I will post pictures when I get it.
I also picked up my first AR-15. I bought 2 of the Remsport lowers (one for later) an assembled upper and all the other misc parts. Now I just need to finish putting it together, get some mags and ammo, and go to the range. Can't wait.
All in all it was a good day. My wife thinks I should have gone to work...
