Music by Richard Rogers played by the NBC Symphony Orchestra narrated by Leonard Graves. I have very fond memories as a five year old watching it first run on Sunday afternoons with my dad a World War 2 Navy vet. It is a unabashed view of the war as the Greatest Generation (they didn't know they were the Greatest Generation then) saw it before the nuances of objectivity and political correctness descended upon the history of World War 2. A real slice of 1950's America in so many ways.

Dad was a WWII vet (Army Air Corps) so we watched all the Victory series as kids. May have been why I joined the Navy. Thanks for the link.

I too watched on Sundays with my WWII Navy vet dad. Then a few years later we'd watch 'Silent Service' together.
