Victory at Sea

Music by Richard Rogers played by the NBC Symphony Orchestra narrated by Leonard Graves. I have very fond memories as a five year old watching it first run on Sunday afternoons with my dad a World War 2 Navy vet. It is a unabashed view of the war as the Greatest Generation (they didn't know they were the Greatest Generation then) saw it before the nuances of objectivity and political correctness descended upon the history of World War 2. A real slice of 1950's America in so many ways.

Nice Father's Day memory. Thanks for posting.

I remember watching that all day long back when the discovery channel first came on... I think I even had a few vcr tapes of it
