I'm equidistant from Camp LeJeune, and MCAS Cherry Point. I occasionally feel (more than hear) the bombs at LeJeune, and definitely get some aircraft activity. None of it bothers me in the least. I feel safe.

I think it's funny that the conspiracy theorists always are expecting an actually related attack of some sort while these drills are taking place.
Sometimes, they are correct in their predictions.
Kind of like on 9/11, the Pentagon was doing drills on commercial aircraft flying into buildings.
Air Force: "Is this real world?"
Norad: "How the hell do I know?"
Kings Cross Train Station in Britain - doing an anti terrorism bombing drill while an actual bombing is taking place.
