agreed he's a major dink though, and super arrogant, and quite frankly she doesn't enjoy speaking to him on any level.

This should not stop her in any way shape or form. Such a position does not allow for bringing personal issues into the mix. That would be a pretty profound breach of his responsibilities and her rights and I am sure he knows that.
