Being retired has its benefits. It was/is a beautiful day today. After doing my morning chores around the house and playing with the dog for awhile, I headed over to Mansfield to the range.

I had several new to me guns that I hadn't fired yet, and some I wanted to just play with.

I brought a 6" S&W Mod 19 .357, a .45 Colt Gold Cup, a new PINTO S&W Mod 34 .22, my two carry guns, a 442 and a 640, and my new Bushmaster that I bought the day after Deval Patrick was elected.

I had the 50 yard range to myself all afternoon. One friend was shooting on the 100 yard range. It was a perfect afternoon. I won't regale you with the stories of how well I shot. The thing is that it was just a great time, and I'm sorry you all couldn't have been there.

I used to work a four day week and would head down to Braintree on my days off and enjoy the solitude so I know exactly what you are talking about.

Now I belong to M F&G PA, so howdy.
