3 Charged In Home Invasion
Victim Recovering With Family

MILFORD, Mass. -- A woman and two teenagers were in court Wednesday to face charges in connection with a Bellingham home invasion.

NewsCenter 5's Jack Harper reported that a Bellingham man was beaten by the armed intruders and pushed down the stairs.

Bellingham police were at the scene about five minutes after the victim, Paul O'Connor, 64, called 911.

"Basically, they put a gun to the gentleman's head and demanded money and they wanted his guns. He got hit a few times, and then got pushed down some stairs and caused a significant ankle injury," said Bellingham police Sgt. Richard Perry.

Police arrested Miguel Rivera and Richard Dunn, both 17, and Tymisha Daviega, 26 in connection with the home invasion . All three are from Taunton. Police said Daviega had a dating relationship with the victim, so he let her in to his home. Police said Rivera and Dunn pushed their way into the man's home behind Daviega.

Police said the trio took about six guns and thousands in cash.

"They fled at a high rate of speed in a residential area, and there was a small pursuit where they stopped and (police officers) saw some guns in the car. They quickly made three arrests," Perry said.

All three were ordered held on $100,000 cash bail by the Milford courthouse. O'Connor is recovering with relatives.

OK, several things jump to mind:
"Tymisha"? What the hell kind of name is that? Is that one of those made up ones that seem to be all the rage in the inner city over the last 10-20 years?

Why was he dating someone 38 years younger than himself? Doesn't he feel like he's robbing the cradle? What do they talk about when they're NOT otherwise occupied (which can't be all that often, since he's 64! Unless he's got a SERIOUS Viagra habit...)?

Think the Bellingham PD will give him his guns back?

Who freakin' keeps "thousands in cash" in the house? And how did these three punks find out about it?

And last but not least... Proof positive that men have two heads and only enough blood supply for them to use ONE at a time. [rolleyes]

Talk???? What.....talk.....no....she's 26 he's 64......nothing to talk about.[smile]

Lynn Ct, Bellingham according to Verizon Superpages.

No doubt he trusted her and told her what he had! Dumb shit!! Ross is right, he was thinking with his "small head"!! He almost deserved what he got in this deal.

Bellingham Home Invasion

[shocked]I wonder what part of town this was in.

A white pages search would indicate the south central part of town.

Too bad.. used to live in the north end of town. It was nice while we were
there. Got too crowded for me, though. Wasn't too impressed with what
crawled out of Woonsocket on it's way to Milford/Framingham and vice versa. Traffic through town got to be too much too..especially on the weekends.

Bellingham has been in the news quite a bit as of late. I expect BPD will have no shortage of work any foreseeable time in the future.

Of course, I lived for a while near Taunton too.. I'm sure TPD has its hands full as well..there are some really dim-bulbs in Bristol Co...

This state is sure going you-know-where-fast...

Jim, that is a good part of it.

Avon used to be a nice town, but stuck next to Brockton . . . a real shooting gallery (with both guns and drugs) and Randolph . . . which has devolved into a growing element of problems!

South Bellingham has taken a toll. Like hbennett said, Woonsocket being next door does not help much. A co-worker and I were just saying how south Bellingham has turned into a city like atmosphere. We'll I'm outta here tomorrow at 11:00 (Sign for the new house), I wish all my friends and family in town the best of luck.

My mother is in Avon which I guess is near Brockton and she says they are getting druggies in her apartment complex. Ugh. I agree that MA is in the shitter and getting worse.

It just because of the generous welfare benefits? Is that's what's drawing these scumbags to that state??

IMO it's because of the drugs, more than anything else. Yeah, you can
have crime w/o drugs, but the artificial and hostile market environment
created by drug laws is a huge part of the violent crime problem.
MA has numerous drug sales hubs in it. The violence mostly occurs
in those hubs where there is more competition over the same
market. There's also a tie in, in the bigger cities WRT drugs and
gangs. Gangbangers selling drugs are much likely to be more protective
of their "sales region" so to speak. Some of it is simply hate between
gang groups, but often this hate is formented/fueled over the sales of
drugs.

Drugs + dense cities + gangs + high population turnover/diversity + cheap
high density low income housing = violent crime.
