Why do mods delete classified threads marked sold pending? If the buyer backs out I have to redo the add. I mark sold pending so others don't contct me to buy, saving both of us time. When it's gone I'll change it to just Sold.

you shouldn't even mark it as such for that very reason. If the buyer backs out, other interested parties have probably moved on. Just leave it up and give people seconds or thirds and mark it sold when it actually sells. Its the same reason real estate agents don't put a sold sign on a house till the papers actually pass. My mom was a realtor for years and taught me that right off the bat.
