Anti-materialA 50 cal for shots inside 350 yards? I don't think so.
I would think at some point they would draw up range cards for the stands and other critical areas around the stadium. They chootin playas?

Okay, quasi serious post time...
Why? Why do they need to do this? I get the need to practice elevated shooting, but can we just go back to being quiet professionals without the 'hey look at me'
What supervisor in their right mind is going to authorize a shot into the stands with a .50?
This just is a bad look imo. Keep your shit quiet, go train at Blackwater or something. There is no rationalization for doing this and putting it out there.
I'm guessing since it's a planned training session the 50's were brought in to get worked. I'd be surprised if they use them during the game. They were probably there all day and Danger Dave said "Can I try some shots with my 50?"
Agreed way overkill (pardon the pun). Any caliber the 3 range would do 300 win, 308 etc. guess they had to feel extra special driving out a firearm that has likely never been fired.A 50 cal for shots inside 350 yards? I don't think so.
What happens if she shows up?

This. The only legit reason I can think of is if the stadium created some unique wind conditions, but that is a huge stretch. I totally agree, all they accomplished was to give potential nut jobs more info than they had before the video was aired. Shooting at a very steep angle takes practice, and maybe they did not have a facility that allowed them to easily replicate the conditions, but WTF are you thinking by airing the video? Foolish. Why? My first thought was "what are you using for a back stop?" I didn't see a huge steel plate set up. I suppose it is not inconceivable that they were using hand loaded frangible ammo, but I doubt it. Those three rounds would have created a hole as big as Jimmy G's porn star girlfriend.I'm guessing since it's a planned training session the 50's were brought in to get worked. The NFL wants to be prepared in case Tyreek Hill gets too close to his gf again.
It is to let the serfs know it won't be easy pickings. As far as a .50bmg goes, the ".50 cal. on goats" vids are eye opening.Okay, quasi serious post time...
