Ruger MkII rear sight removal

OK, I've loosened the little set screw and tapped about as hard as I dare on this sight, but it won't budge!!

How do I get this darn thing off?!?!

I'm trying to install one of these: http://www.jackweigand.com/rm2fd.html (the bottom one).

Any help is appreciated.

Matt - have you tried calling Ruger? I've spoken with their technical people in the past and they've always been very helpful.
