pics of my latest cannon project- finally done! :)

My only question: Do you like the neighbors in the house across the lake? If not, you know what you have to do.

The finish on that is amazing. I can’t be the only one asking where you get your cool cannon fuse from mine just comes out of a spool from a damp box

and finished another cannon build 😁... even nicer than last one. pics dont do it any justice- weighs a good 100 lbs, barrel is 20" long x 5" dia., the entire cannon in the carriage is about 24" long with a 1 5/8" bore. 44 hand-made pieces, walnut carriage & wheels all brass & stainless. italian coins laid into the trunnion ring and muzzle along with the medal of st. benedict laid into the carriage sides under the epoxy. i dont know what i have into hours on this build- maybe 150? I built it in memory of my italian grandparents "Gennaro & Phyllis" I'll have the barrel engraved eventually in tribute. cant wait to hear rhis thing sound-off and start the next build!

You don’t happen to live in Stow do you?

lmao! nope- I'm in rindge nh, around here it's just another typical daily spontanious boom 😉

Beautiful workmanship! Thanks for sharing the photos.
I had a friend back in Albuquerque years ago who built a cannon out of a piece of a Hydraulic lift from a garage. The bore was the perfect
size for an aluminum beer can filled with cement. It's kind of hard to figure out how far the can travels when you can't find it!

I wanted to make a joke about tool marks, but honestly it's too gorgeous. Well done

Fantastic workmanship. A real piece of art. It wouldn’t even need to be functional for me to want one.
