As I'm sure most of you have heard by the time you've read this, there is gunman loose (as of this writing) in an office building in Orlando.
The last news report I saw listed 2 dead and 8 wounded.
I'd first like to extend my heartfelt sympathies to the individuals and families caught in the midst of this tragedy.
With that being said, I'm now worried if any of these recent shootings will affect me receiving my MA LTC on schedule. I apologize if thinking this out loud makes me seem selfish or ignorant, but I can't help but think that this government would act so extremely as to put an emergency halt to all new LTC applications nation-wide (especially here in Massachusetts, where applications have to go through the city PD, then to the State, then the FBI, then Homeland Security, then back to the city PD for a final check).
With all the anti-gun legislation already brewing, am I being irrational in my concern for my LTC approval?
Again, and most importantly, my thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by these recent tragedies...
