Opinions on Hi-Point pistols?

I know budgets are important and all, but when the inexpensive gun fails you when you need it most, you will A) wish you spent more on a reliable, well tested firearm, and B) you won't need that money you saved on purchasing a cheap gun when you are worm food. I won't touch a Hi-point at all. Used Glock is my choice if you must go used.

I'm ashamed to say I own a Hi Point .45 that I purchased being an idiot and ignorant about "cheap handguns".
It's butt ugly, it's large, there is no way in hell you could ever carry this concealed unless you were an elephant.
I shot one box of ammo through it, and I didn't die, so I guess that's a plus.

I would spend the extra money on a better handgun.

No need to apologize. Cheap guns for the masses. Hi-Points fill a niche
