Still can’t figure out how it knows when you’ve shot one.

There's a sensor (probably hall effect) in the backstrap that tracks a custom follower, and probably an accelerometer. There's also a very simple sensor to see if the slide is open or closed.

Without buying one, I can't be certain. I have some guesses based on the video, etc. Do you want us to "reverse engineer" the design? If you ask a sufficiently interesting question, I'll probably go research all their patents. Now I'm curious, what problem are you trying to solve for in understanding their technology?
