Obama to Announce New Executive Action concerning guns:

I don't know about yours, buy my primary physician won't do anything more than giving me an aspirin without making me go see a specialist. HOW THE F'K is he then qualified to make specialized mental heath judgement about anyone's propensity to do harm to themselves or others from a 10 minute superficial exam? Even qualified psychiatrists and clinical psychologists with decades of experience won't do so without a very detailed examination, typically involving retraint and over a period of time.
 
Oh, and if MA residents can get FFLs for <= 4 guns per year, they can sell non-compliant guns to friends as the <=4 means they are not a "dealer" under MGL and therefore not bound by the EOPS list or the AG regulations.
 
what does this mean for all of us that already have a ccw? And own firearms? If i go buy an ar15 saturday morning and i gonna be waiting ****ing 6 hrs for a more involved background check now?
 
Im surprised with all the "proposed" laws magazines never came to into the talk.

One of the things he talks about in this book is ATF agents going to gun shows and offering ridiculously high prices for firearms that were just purchased in order to jam people up for dealing without a license. That book was awesome, like you said, everything up till the ending was real, either it did happen or very well could. EVERYONE should read it!

I really think Obummer hates Hillary more than the 2nd. Maybe he just did this to stir up gun lovers and to keep her from becoming president. Today was kabuki theater, nothing more.
 
From what I heard today, he went full retard. He wants gun triggers to be kid safe like aspirin bottles.

It is kind of hard to fathom his rationale. In a good piece on National Review today, they were saying that true gun control devotees should be livid. Not only does today's action accomplish very little, if anything, it takes the wind out of the sails of the gun control crowd, because we can all just point out that Obama took unilateral gun control action without the consent of Congress or the American people. What more could be wanted? So, as you say, when Hillary inevitably starts talking about doing more, she will go against the grain of a much larger percentage of the public.

This needs to be emphasized: Here we are, in year eight of Obama's presidency, and he just now is getting around to doing whatever this is. It's all legal, he claims. It will matter, he tells us. It will save lives. So where was this guy seven years ago? Why did he stand by and let people die by not doing this sooner? Was he not aware? Was he confused? Did he just now learn that his justice department was not doing all it could to keep guns from bad people?

I don't buy any of his nonsense, but people who do buy it should be asking these questions.

I've been thinking that for a while now, he really doesn't seem to care about the "future", he's not helping the candidates that's for sure.

The WH says he directed the lawyers to look into things he could do in early 2013 after newtown. The said today it took the lawyers this long. Yeah, ok.

He knows this has no teeth other than maybe and I mean maybe the background checks. He looked staged, rehearsed but ultimately resigned to the reality that his "landmark" orders were nothing more than for show.

Even the background stuff is BS. I think they know it's meaningless BS, that's why obama was pushing the emotion crap and phony tears. Hoping it will move the needle in the support. They don't understand the american people.
 
This is his final year in office and the King wants to make everything a "I saved the best for last" spectacle.

Here's something to think about: So if the time is now, then we should be all set. We no longer need Everytown and MDA. Hallelujah! The president has done his job and we are all set. There are no more problems, legally, with gun shortcuts or whatever.

At best he's hoping to pass whatever momentum he gained from this stunt off to Clinton or sanders but let's face it, that's probably bullshit Obama is out for Obama in every move he makes.

I'll tell you one thing though - he reads message boards. He loves the liberal ass kissing that's happening on huff post as much as he likes the infighting and fear the conservatives are exhibiting right now.

He's glad that he scared people. He's happy that people on his side are exhalting him.
Even if he knows what he did was bullshit.
