NH Non Resident Denied due to MA Restrictions

Haven't you been paying attention to all the frothing at the mouth on NES about illegal immigrants?

Yes, and most of their ideas would be as terrible in practice as how it is currently being handled, with the amnesty and all.

It is different however, from the idea that borders within the country should have bearing on whether or not you are allowed to exercise a both fundamental and enumerated right.

You are right as far as the bill of rights superseding state borders. Keep in mind though that at the time the constitution was written, the states were basically independent republics, so if it isn't in the Constitution or the Bill of Rights, there is no reason that "imaginary borders" shouldn't effect things. A lot of the problems we are having right now is because too much stuff is getting done at the federal level instead of at the state, local, and individual level.
