New to New England, not to guns...

Hi, I'm atek3, long time poster on thehighroad. I moved to Hanover, NH last month. Looking for NH/VT shooters to shoot with. I used to shoot Highpower and made expert before I started shooting IPSC and 3gun full time. I've never been hunting, but I took the NH hunter's ed class and got my fall and spring turkey, deer, bear, and small game licenses. Last night I joined Grafton Fish and Game.

I'm a grad student at Dartmouth, so I'm going to start a gun club and teach gun safety.

Any advice on turkey hunting or deer hunting? I really have no idea.

I found more turkeys in my back yard last spring than in the WMA's I hunted. Then again, I'm a novice at callin 'em in so it may have been something I said.

There's a short turkey season coming up from Oct 30th to Nov 4th. here in Ma.

Deer - Archery season opens Oct16th., Shotgun season Nov 27. Good luck !
