This chode master has a video but didnt like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abAmqz5Sigs.
Looking for a good manual or video to clean this rifle. It came from my friends grandfather and looks like HELL.
I guess im the gun guy[rolleyes] and he wants me to see if I can get it back in ship shape for him.
I will start here, the best forum on earth.

I have one that I bought at sears in the 70s.
Its an ok 22.
Nothing exotic to field strip it.
Remove the tube feed plunger.
1 or 2 pins hold the trigger group.
Then its down to bare bones.

Pm me if you have any other ?

Just for the record the spring and the nylon rod that keeps tension on the bolt is the most trouble I have ever has putting something back together.

also try rimfirecentral for more info than you need.

I seem to have become the "guy" that can fix or get working most guns. I like 22s the best. most require a major cleaning.

I have not seen any of the 190s for less than 200.00 in recent times. I will take these old plinkers even the sears branded one over the new stuff in its class any day.
I had a 290 wich is just a fancy grade montecarlo stocked 190. Sold it off to by my 1st handgun.
