National Guardsmen in schools?

What is with the training hiccup everyone is harping on? We’re talking about CCWing pistols by teachers, not splitting the atom.

I dont think it's a good idea. I was in an MP unit and many of my fellow soldiers skills were lacking to say the least. It would turn into another sham gig where complacency is the norm. Trained teachers seems to be the best option or depending on the size of the school a police officer assigned to inner perimeter and one outer. Yearly PT tests mandatory for assignment to a school. (Should be for any leo on the job) Maybe shot spotter installed? The list goes on just throwing stuff out there. Some combination.
