I’ve got a thing for Randalls: currently I think I own four, with three more on order. This one arrived today: it’s a used Buxton Fighter, a model 14 variant designed as the dealer special for Wayne Buxton near Garland, Texas in 1994. As near as I can tell, this one dates from 2002-5.
I’ve been looking for one of these at a decent price for quite awhile, and I’m stoked. I like the skull crusher pommel, which had been an earlier feature on the 1954 model 14 and is now included on ONLY this model.
This thing is beefy: 1/4 inch stock, full tang (and then some); it’s by far my heaviest Randall. I feel like I could take someone’s head off with this bad boy.
