MFS Needs Your Recommendations for Range Guns...

You are forgetting dealer samples.

The "post may dealer samples" procedure is generally a very ineffective workaround. In order for a SOT dealer to get one, said dealer must have a "LE demo request letter". And no, local PDs are NOT interested in a demo of a machine gun from a small local dealer, and will NOT write you a dealer letter - even if the department is green. One of the commanding officers I know in a very green department told me about the regular supply of letters he gets requesting demo requests - and they get instantly circular filed.

The only wallhack for a place that is not legitimately trying to be a large scale LE reseller to get post-86 full autos is to become a licensed manufacturer of NFA weapons.

So FFL + good CLEO relationship = potential dealer samples. Thanks for the clarification.

It takes more than a "good relationship". You need a CLEO willing to risk his career on a press expose about how (s)he helped a private business s/he is buddy buddy with get access to full auto weapons using the official status of the department to do so. Ok, so it might work in a VERY unusual situation, or in states where the public reaction would be "good for him!" - but my guess is it won't happen in MA.

My opinion:

Pick up some 9mm/.40 glocks
Some springfield XD's
Walther p99 mass compliant version
Walther PPS
Sigs in 9mm/.40
Beretta model 21a , 92fs
S&W bodyguard .38 and .380
S&W m&p's in various calibers
Ruger SR9's
Some reliable cheap .22's

Rifles: forget the FA hassle.
Pick up a semi auto Kriss super V
And then pick up a heavy barrel'd version of a AR-9mm carbine, something strong enough to last rapid fire And slap on a Slide fire solutions stock. Problem solved . Slap on a red dot and call it a day.

Students coming from Boston for training must take the Moon Island test in order to acquire a LTC. I suggest carrying a .38 revolver in order to offer training to these students at your facility.

Definitely second this emotion. Hell, I did a practice run with the same revolver I used on the test, but the grips on my prep gun were fat and lovely, and I found the grips on the test gun to be kinda short and awkward, so an array might be helpful. Simulating the test to whatever level of detail you can manage will result in better-prepared students/applicants. In which case, I'd also throw in some hard-blowing fans, crank the a/c, and shaky-handed people standing next to you to really get the feel of moon island down :)

I would personally like to shoot more NATO-style 9mm and other caliber da/sa euro-style guns, aka CZ's and EAA Witnesses, FN-X, Five-Sevens and H&K UCP (4.6mm).

The MSRP on this most recent firearms bulk purchase is over $60,000!

Some of these firearms will replace existing guns in our armory. In the end, MFS Indoor Range Members get free access to over $70,000 in firearms.

That is a great way to begin a hobby in sport shooting [smile]

Did I miss it or is there only 1 1911 on the list?? I think that you need at least a few of those. They are a staple for shooters as well as a great gun for someone that is still learning to shoot.

We used some connections to acquire some hard to find firearms. One of the firearms we were able to get is the Beretta ARX-160 Carbine in .22lr. This looks like a fun gun to shoot. We will post pics as soon as it arrives.
