Hey, I saw this link in Cabelas' mag and thought I'd share it. Many may already be aware of it, but I'm sure there are some that will find it useful. In most areas, fall hunting usually starts 30 minutes before offical sunrise and 30 mins after official sunset. "Official" time is determined by the U.S. Naval Observatory. Check the site by adding your area information (about halfway down the page) and get offical sunrise/set times, moon times, etc.

Thats inportant to check your LOCAL sunrise and sunsets. I know where I live the nearest deer check in station is right here in town and there is often talk about the late shots heard then when someone tags a deer the next morning the questions start. I have shot 2 deer in the last 15 leagal min of the day so I want to know when it is. If I were to go by whats listed in the hunting manual thats figured from the state capital and my times would be off.
