I came across this news item this morning and idly clicked to read it. The comment in the second paragraph should prove interesting to forum members.

Not from what I saw.

What I saw was that they RELEASED the prisoners to the street to prey on the poor citizens and "warned" the residents. I do not recall that they evacuated any of them (although I hope you are right about the murderers and rapists, etc.).

I saw pics of the prisioners all siting on a highway ramp, waiting for buses to move them. Don't recal any actualy being released, but don't doubt some got away.
