Zero chance of keeping it out of the gun banner's hands.

The drop was either a deliberate screw up in responding to a FOIA request or a deliberate "dead drop" delivery of data to some anti-gun group. IMO

Yes I agree, it should be removed immediately. but I also wouldn't be surprised if certain people who intend to use this information against lawful gun owners were given a heads up before it popped up on the web site.

Being that the data presented in these files is grossly incomplete, what is the value in them being made public? @MichaelaDunne Is it some sort of clap back, in response to a FOIA request?

Does your ID number change every time you renew? I found a friend's number, and very few of what he actually purchased shows up.
 
What was the stated purpose of publishing this data? Was there a press release announcing them making this dataset available? The whole thing strikes me as odd, and I'm trying my best to steer away from conspiracy-land.

Chilling effect and to provide localized data for the Globe and coordinated local papers to run scare ops on all the low info easily scared people to turn on their neighbors. Like all the mask Karen Covidians did. It's trying to astroturf fear and support for more bullshit. Probably all sorts of bylaws banning carry or ownership at town level and the like. Full on hair on fire pant shitting and smearing it on your face while also burning down your house response to Buren.

Clarification, they don’t have all my sales. i have the records and they are not there. they also show me selling two guns on the same date that were sold months apart. all sales done via the portal. that’s why i care.

So everyone here could post guns are missing that way they know they have to look for more when they come to confiscate them.

If the records have all of your outbound transfers then that's all you care about
Not dates, not inbounds , only transfers out.
 
It would be interesting if somebody had a link to the ID's of politicians, anti-gun activists, and celebrities.

Lots of the Birthdays and towns are public knowledge.

I bet people are working on this.

That database is a piece of sh*t.

Or maybe you never sold those guns.🤔
