I want a Dragunov style rifle. If you had the money, which would you "need" to have.

Which rifle would you get and why if money was no object, but you could get only one?

Damn-It!

One thing that I noticed on the Saiga forum is a lot of guys put flash suppressors on theirs, since there is no pistol grip with the dragunov stock that is something even us MA guys can do.

Not sure but from what little there is to work with, it looks like a decent amount of work to thread the barrel and move the front sight. The rifle definitely could benefit from a muzzle brake though.

Missing from the list is either a Grizzly or Barret .50 cal. That would be my vote if it were there.

Ray. Would you mind bringing your Saiga to the Car shoot? I'd love to try that. May be worth building one of those from scratch.

I can bring it.
Why build though? You can still get them for about $400 and swap out the sporter stock for the Dragunov style for an extra $60, then just get whatever side mount scope you want. That rifle as shown costs me less than a Romak. I think it was $350 from M&M's in Plymouth a year ago. They are one of the only local shops that seems to always have these in stock.

Why does the saiga in the picture on page 3 have the magazine so close to the trigger guard and the saiga in the next page has it further away from the trigger guard? Kinda like the difference between the PSL and the Tiger.

I wish saiga made one in 7.62X54r.

Actually the ones with the trigger away from the mag are stock and the ones with the trigger close to the mag are converted rifles where the trigger is moved forward to allow a pistol grip to be installed like a standard AK rifle.

Money is always an option! If you gotta have one, go low-end first and trade up later. Buy the Romanian.

My thoughts only.
