Make sure you get the new and improved model that is two inches longer for easier grip. This will definitely lower the resale value of the original version. From the questions section : do not try it on moose and know that it does not remove the bladder (unless it is in the deer's tookus).

On a related, but slightly different topic, I have a question for those of you that hunt with a 30-30: Do you use 150-grain or 170-grain? Do you notice a difference using one over the other?

I ask because I find that the 150-grain rounds produce noticeably less recoil when shot out of my Marlin 336.

Also wondering if anybody has ever had a problem knocking over Bambi with 150's.

For deer I would recommend whichever you shoot more accurately with. A well placed shot will do the job.
