Hunting Noob here - what am I forgetting?

Make sure you get the new and improved model that is two inches longer for easier grip. [hmmm] This will definitely lower the resale value of the original version. From the questions section : do not try it on moose and know that it does not remove the bladder (unless it is in the deer's tookus).

On a related, but slightly different topic, I have a question for those of you that hunt with a 30-30: Do you use 150-grain or 170-grain? Do you notice a difference using one over the other?

I ask because I find that the 150-grain rounds produce noticeably less recoil when shot out of my Marlin 336.

Also wondering if anybody has ever had a problem knocking over Bambi with 150's.

Thanks,

Buck.
